Prairie Skies Public Library District offers two locations with business hours Monday through Saturday. With your library card, you can borrow books, magazines, movies, audio books, e-books, music and more. You can also use our computers, fax, scanner and printers.
As a part of a larger library system, we can get you access to virtually anything in the world with our Inter Library Loan service.
We are closed for the following holidays: New Year, President's Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Indigenous People's Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. If a holiday falls on a Sunday, we will be closed the following Monday.
All library materials check out for two weeks.
Renewals are allowed up to three times, if there is not a hold.
We are a FINE FREE library! There is no charge for overdues, but if an item is damaged or lost, a fee will be charged.
The mission of the Prairie Skies Public Library District is to serve the public by acquiring and providing a balanced collection of recreational, informational, and educational materials and services. The library will provide life-long learning opportunities, access to materials and services beyond the library's collections, use of current and emerging technologies to adapt to the needs of the community, and increase public awareness and support for the public library.

Those living outside the district may purchase a card. The fee is determined each year. Please call for the newest fee.
You can apply for a card at either location. You must present a photo ID and have proof of your current address.

We have a variety of tools for those in need of support. In both locations, you can find magnifying glasses, TTY machines, and wheel chair accessible furniture. In Ashland, we have a CCTV print magnifier.

If you need items delivered to your home, please call either location to request items and arrange a delivery or to request curbside service.
