About Your Library
Prairie Skies Public Library District (PSPLD) offers two locations to serve you with business hours Monday through Saturday. With your library card, you can borrow books, magazines, E-books, DVD’s, and music CD’s or utilize our fax, print, WiFi, and computer services. Your library card is also your ticket to a variety of programming for children and adults.
Looking for something specific? Search our online catalog or contact us by phone or email (listed above, right). Our library staff can help you find it, even if the item is not currently on our shelves. PSPLD is a member of the Resource Sharing Alliance, which allows our patrons to borrow items from libraries across Illinois.
We are closed for the following holidays: New Year, President's Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Indigenous People's Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving (and the following Friday), and Christmas. If a holiday falls on a Sunday, we will be closed the following Monday.
The mission of the Prairie Skies Public Library District is to serve the public by acquiring and providing a balanced collection of recreational, informational, and educational materials and services. The library will provide life-long learning opportunities, access to materials and services beyond the library’s collections, use of current and emerging technologies to adapt to the needs of the community, and increase public awareness and support for the library.
