Summer Reading 2022
Read Beyond the Beaten Path
June 6th - July 23rd
This year's Summer Reading Program focuses on new adventures...in reading, learning, and exploring!
Registration begins on June 6th with Kick-off Celebrations at both libraries: 10-11:30 am in Plains; 1-2:30 pm in Ashland. Come play games, have fun, and get everything you need to start reading!
Our all-new “Family Camp” will be in session from 10-noon each Monday in Plains and Wednesday in Ashland with activities for the whole family to enjoy! Family Camp will feature concurrent sessions of Story Time, Special Edition STEAM Club, and Teen Time. There will be two sessions of each group beginning at 10 am, repeating at 11 am, with a new theme & activity each week!
This year we will be having Friday cursive classes from 11–noon in Ashland! Enjoy learning (or re-learning) this forgotten “art” in a fun and relaxed environment.
Select Saturdays will feature an entertainer you won’t want to miss!
Explore science, history, music, and fun at the library with the Absolute Science: Butterfly Encounter (6/25), The Bubble Professor (7/9), Katherine Harris's “Harriet Tubman” Portrayal (6/11), and Leonardo’s Music for Kids (7/23)!
Plus, regular programs like Story Time, STEAM Club, and Table Top Gaming continue all summer long!
This year we're doing something special, readers can choose a prize for each goal achieved, or convert their prize into a donation to Animal Protective League, Helping Hands Food Pantry, or Blessings Box!
