The Prairie Skies Public Library District is looking for enthusiastic, interested, community-minded members to serve a two-year term as trustee on the library board.  If you feel libraries are an important benefit to communities and want to see them continue to grow and thrive then we are looking for you.  For more information click on the library icon.

The Prairie Skies Public Library District will reopen on Monday June 8th.

 

​All Library items you have checked out now are due on June 12 and "Fine-Free".

We are still not able to borrow books from other libraries

and you cannot place holds on those items at this time.

All Programs have been cancelled till further notice.

Curbside service and contact-less home delivery will still be offered. We will continue to assist you when possible and safely.   

Access to our eBook collections and online catalog will continue. Our WiFi will remain on and can be used outside each location.  There are also WiFi hotspots at the Ashland Village Hall and the Pleasant Plains Firehouse.

The tournament ended on March 31. In April we will hold the drawings and contact the winners. 

 

If you have read any books since the closure that you would like credit for email pskiesld@gmail.com with the authors and titles. 

PSPLD has four convenient locations for you to return items borrowed from the Library: 

  • Ashland and Pleasant Plains Library Buildings,

  • Drop Boxes at Farmingdale Elementary School and at the Gardner Township Building.

  • Drop Boxes are available at all hours and when the Library is closed for a holiday.

Mondays at Pleasant Plains from 10-11am.

On the last Monday of the month, the storyhour is held at the Clayville Historic site from 10am-11am.

Book Clubs

All meetings have been cancelled until further notice

The Ashland Book Club (ABC) meets on the third Tuesday at 5:00pm at Ashland

The Bookies Book club meets on the fourth Thursday at 7:00pm at Pleasant Plains.

Cookbook Book Club

We have a book club especially for people interested in recipes and cookbooks.  

The group meets on the first Thursday at Pleasant Plains starting at 6 pm for anyone interested.  Anyone is welcomed to come and share their favorite dish. 

Third Thursday Lego Group

CANCELLED until further notice

    We are moving the LEGO CLUB to Ashland.  They will be meeting on Thursday, ????? from 5:30 - 6:30pm.  For more information click the LEGO pieces.

The Prairie Skies Public Library District has gone "Fine-Free". Patrons will no longer be charged late fees for items.  They will still be responsible for returning them on the day due.
