PSPLD has four convenient locations for you to return items borrowed from the Library:
Ashland and Pleasant Plains Library Buildings,
Drop Boxes at Farmingdale Elementary School and at the Gardner Township Building.
Drop Boxes are available at all hours and when the Library is closed for a holiday.
New Ways to Browse
Our Adult Fiction books are now organized by categories! You'll find sections for Mysteries, Sci/Fi & Fantasy, Westerns, Large Print, and General Fiction. We hope this organization makes it even easier to find the authors and stories you love, or maybe discover something new! Follow the signs to find your favorite category, or ask a librarian for help.
Patrons coming into either location must wear a mask and practice social distancing!
We will limit how many patrons may be in the library and how long they can stay.
Patrons are encouraged to use Curbside Service. Please call ahead and arrange a time with staff for pick-up. Contact-less home delivery is still available.
Small Groups are allowed to meet at either location. Groups of 9 or less may meet in Ashland; Groups of 12 or less may meet in Pleasant Plains.

The Bookies Book club meets on the fourth Thursday at 7:00pm at Pleasant Plains.
NEA Big Read: Sangamon County
Join in with others in Sangamon county and read Lab Girl by Hope Jahrens. Copies are available at both locations and there will be a book discussion held at the Ashland location on Tuesday, April 27 starting at 6pm.
The ABC and Cookbook bookclubs are not meeting at this time.
